History
L & M Landscape is a small family business that takes pride in providing personal and professional service. We started our business in 1986 while finishing 2 degrees at Cal Poly in Ornamental Horticulture. Mike focused on landscape construction and getting his landscape contractors license while, Libby concentrated on landscape design. This combination has provided a great blend and ability to meet the needs of many people.
Services
We love the landscape design and installation work but also provide maintenance for over 40 clients. From residential to commercial maintenance we cover the Central Coast: San Luis Obispo, Los Osos, Morro Bay, Cayucos, and Cambria.
We provide other horticultural services such as dormant fruit tree and rose pruning in the winter time, and container color pots as part of our maintenance program, and much more.
The landscape construction part of the business includes hardscapes like wood decks and overhangs, paver and concrete patios, complete irrigation systems, plant selections that thrive best in each climate zone, and landscape designs for all these.
Education
In the twenty years in business many people ask about our qualifications and experience. While attending Cal Poly we studied many topics that have given us the knowledge and confidence in our field. Some of these classes were plant diseases and pests, soils and fertilizers, pest control, landscape design and construction, landscape maintenance, and we studied over 1,000 plants including botanical names. This allows us to identify problems in the landscape and solve them, which is a bonus in our industry.
Philosophy
We enjoy the outdoors and feel blessed to live on the beautiful Central Coast and especially to be able to make it more beautiful by our landscaping. Our goal is to provide honest and professional service that will meet your needs, whether it be low maintenance, drought tolerant or a colorful perennial English garden.
